Agriculture Development

GCI has been supporting the development of innovative tools and technologies through the suite of varied programs for the solutions that emerged from the program.

The program(s) also leverage the micro-entrepreneurial opportunities at the point of agricultural production i.e., agri-entrepreneurs at domestic-level food processing by supporting the units that could be the most effective tool to address complex situations, like smoothening dramatic seasonal price fluctuations, by offering multifold results viz., enhanced household diet diversity, revenue generation, nutritional and health improvement, resource conservation and employment generation.

The programs are majorly focused on interlinked themes of agricultural-nutrition-social innovation, where the emphasis is on identifying and designing and developing tools and interventions, to improve communication around nutrition and agriculture and translate into public health, especially among women farmers.
