BIRAC-New

Call for Applications: Round V

We are pleased to announce the launch of the 5th Call  for Grand Challenges Explorations - India (GCE-India), a PMU-BIRAC initiative in partnership with Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and IKP Knowledge Park to identify, fund and nurture revolutionary ideas that address global health challenges. This is an India-only chapter of the larger Grand Challenges Explorations managed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The goal of the GCE-India program is to empower ideas - ideas that will create new drugs, diagnostics, devices, vaccines, delivery systems and service models that can be made available to all socio-economic layers of the human population. If you have an innovation that will address developing world issues such as infectious diseases, child and maternal health, nutrition, geriatric care and sanitation, please  submit a 2-page proposal by February 28, 2019. We will choose up to 5 proposals to be funded in GCE-India Round V.

ANYONE CAN APPLY
We believe that great ideas can come from anyone, anywhere. There is no restriction on which organization you belong to. You may apply if you have a great idea to the world better.

FOR EVERY WINNING IDEA...

  • INR 50 Lakh award from PMU-BIRAC and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
  • INR 10 Lakh prize upon successful completion of milestones
  • Technical and business strategy advice, access to synergistic networks of DBT, BIRAC, BMGF, IKP & their partners
